How much does Halo: Campaign Evolved cost? Standard, Premium, Game Pass and regional pricing

Halo: Campaign Evolved is no longer a preorder-only question: the current United States list price is $49.99 for Standard Edition and $69.99 for Premium Edition, with regional pricing handled by each store.

The current US price

The official Xbox store lists Halo: Campaign Evolved Standard Edition at $49.99 and Premium Edition at $69.99 in the United States. The Steam store's United States product data also shows $49.99 for the base game. Those are current storefront prices, not a promise that every country, retailer or future sale will use the same amount.

When someone asks how much Halo: Campaign Evolved costs, name the country with the answer. Steam's live product data, for example, shows $49.99 in the United States, £49.99 in the United Kingdom and €59.99 in Germany at the time this guide was checked. Currency conversion alone is not a reliable substitute for a local price because regional pricing, tax display and store policies differ.

Standard Edition

The Standard Edition is the base game. Official descriptions say it includes the rebuilt Halo: Combat Evolved campaign and the three-mission Operation: METEORITE arc. A player buying Standard is not buying an incomplete version of the campaign story; the extra missions are part of the advertised game rather than a separate narrative purchase.

The right question is not only which edition is cheaper. Ask which items you will actually use. If your goal is simply to play the campaign solo or with friends, the Standard Edition is the straightforward baseline. Check the exact listing in your country for platform entitlement, installed language and any local refund conditions before completing the purchase.

What Premium Edition adds

The official Xbox store lists Premium Edition at $69.99 in the United States. Halo Waypoint says it includes the base game, the Alpha Halo Armory Pack, a digital art book, the Halo: Hungry Buzzards digital short story and a digital game manual. The added armour and weapon skins are cosmetic customisation content; the listed extras should be compared with your own interest in the art and story material, not treated as required campaign access.

For existing Standard Edition owners and eligible Game Pass subscribers, Halo Waypoint states that a Digital Premium Upgrade costs $20.00 USD, with price varying by region. That is useful if you decide later that you want the Premium extras. It is not a universal global price, and it should be rechecked in the active store because regional upgrade pricing can change.

Game Pass is not the same as free

Xbox Wire and the Xbox store say the Standard Edition is available day one to select Game Pass subscribers, specifically Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That can be a lower immediate cost for a subscriber who already pays for a qualifying plan, but it is not the same as owning a permanently purchased copy without an active subscription.

Check the Game Pass plan available in your country and the official Xbox wording before making a decision. Subscription catalogues, tiers and cloud conditions can change. If you want to play on a particular platform or keep access after a subscription ends, compare the current purchase option with the current subscription benefit instead of relying on a launch-day screenshot.

Prices can differ by platform and region

The official buy page offers Xbox, Steam and PlayStation 5 choices, but a price shown on one storefront does not guarantee the same total on another. Some storefronts include tax in the displayed price while others add it later. Physical editions may also involve retailer pricing, shipping and limited stock. The Collector's Edition was reported sold out by Halo Waypoint in its June update, so it should not be used as a normal price benchmark.

Avoid posting a single global price without the currency and store. A better answer is: Standard is $49.99 in the US official Xbox and Steam listings, Premium is $69.99 on the US Xbox store, and your local product page is the price that governs your purchase. That wording remains useful even when exchange rates, regional storefronts or promotions move.

A quick buying checklist

Open the official listing for your intended platform. Confirm the edition, currency, whether tax is included, the account that will own it and whether you are comparing a purchase with an active Game Pass benefit. If you want the Premium content, compare the full Premium price with the official upgrade price for your account rather than assuming a third-party bundle has the same entitlement.

The short answer is $49.99 USD for the Standard Edition and $69.99 USD for Premium Edition on the official US Xbox store. That is a clear starting point, but it should always travel with its date, country and storefront. Use the live official page immediately before you pay; it is more accurate than a cached article, a currency converter or an old preorder post.
